Extra Chapter #1: Fujiwarano Sai VS Touya Akira The chapter starts on that rainy day when Touya asked Hikaru to not run away and play him now. What's added to this versus the original chapters 5 and 6 is mostly additional narration by Sai on meeting Hikaru, his thoughts on Akira, and a little more insight into the thought process behind the moves (good for Go freaks like moi). The whole chapter basically caters to all you Sai fans wanting to see more of him. As the game ends, Sai wonders how much Akira will grow. Then we flash forward to the present at the same Go salon... Akira returning after his two wins at the Hokutohai. Icchan congratulates him, and says that it's unfortunate that Shindou lost both games. Touya defends Shindou a little though, mentioning that he beat Suyeong in a private game and that even though he lost the other games the Chinese team and Korean team both learned Shindou's name. This part ends with Akira and Hikaru both looking forward to the Young Lion's Tournament and their eventual matchup. #2 Shouji-kun! Oka-kun! On an Insei game day, Nase walks in to see a few Insei playing out the Akira-IlFan game. One 5th grade kid, Oka, comments on how incredible Akira is, but another kid, Shouji, disagrees, saying Shindou is cooler. Another girl comments that Shouji is always picking fights with Oka, and Nase says that since they're the same age and about the same age they should get along and be good rivals. Oka takes offense, pointing out that he's never been below Shouji and is 14th versus Shouji's barely-in-the-Young-Lion's-Tournament 16th. As the teacher walks in, Oka is yelling at Shouji over his declaration that he wants to play in the now annual Hokutohai. After quieting them down, the teacher passes out the information for the Young Lion's games. Oka and Shouji are shocked greatly at what they see. On game day, it's revealed that Oka is playing Shindou and Shouji is playing Touya. After the games, Shouji and Oka both comment how incredible their opponents were (the same ones they were sorta bad-mouthing earlier). Despite how badly they were beaten, however, they're both more determined than ever to become pros and play in the Hokutohai, attracting Kosemura's attention. Kosemura comments on how the Hokutohai is getting Insei fired up too, and asks them who they think will win in the second round game between Touya and Shindou. Shouji now picks Touya and Oka now defends Shindou. They both get as close to the board as possible as the game starts and HikaGo ends with Hikaru and Touya playing.
