Hika 169
HikaGo gets the cover for this chapter but Obata seems to be going a bit crazy with his Yashiro pics... On the cover we see Yashiro chasing Hikaru while he's sticking out his tongue and flipping him the bird. Then for the chap cover, the two seem to be about to fight. Since when did Yashiro become a punk? This is the guy who's going to school as not to anger his parents. He doesn't seem like a guy that would act this way, but oh well. On to the chap. 

Hikaru is back at Kawai's Go Salon as w=the whole gang is excited to see him. Kawai yells at him to come more often as he messes with Hikaru's hair again. They congradulate him on making the Hokuto cup team but one guy says he's worried since the opponents will be strong. Kawai yells that there's no worries that Kawai expects big things. He then starts messing with Hikaru's hair some more and says "got that?!" 

They then talk about the tournament, how Hikaru will be staying in a hotel. Hikaru says he won't be nervous once the games start. Kawai wants to have a big party the night before. Hikaru thinks about how great this place is and mentions he should bring Touya here sometime. The whole crowd starts getting super excited about Touya coming, one saying "A star will be here?!!" Hikaru then starts yelling "Nevermind!! I'm not bringing him!!" 

We then go to the Weekly Go press room where the boss is yelling for Kosemura because the Touya Kouyo's first Chinese league game has been set. Kosemura walks in and is told to go to China next week but Kose reminds the boss how he's taking a vacation to Korea on those days. He then says it's not just vacation and that he'll go to the Korea go institute and interview the Hokuto cup Korean team members. The rest of the people there are doubting that he'll get any work done on his vacation. Another employee starts talking about how this Chinese league game will be fun with Touya playing Korea's So ChanWan. These two often battled for the title in international tounaments. One guy comments how Touya is doing weird stuff, how he's now in the Samsung cup and seems totally healthy. Another guy comments that Touya probably just didn't want to be tied down to a schedule and enter the tounaments he wants to enter. Another guy then says he wants to see Touya in the Meijin tournament again though and someone says how that's not possible anymore. The boss say they should just change the rules, allowing anyone to enter. That way Touya could enter, that if they want him in it, change the rules. 

We then go to Akira house for a Touya family dinner as Mama(Akiko) tells Akira that they will be in China next week. She asks if he'll be all right and that they could hire a maid for him. He says he was fine the last month. That Ichikawa-san brought him food and Ashiwara cooked for him and that he's a great cook. (something just screams Yaio about that fact....) Akira then stares at his silent father and asks when he plans to return to Japan. Kouyo says he plans to be at the Hokuto cup. Mama mentions how someone at the store wished Akira good luck and Akira says how there seems to be a lot of excitement over the tournament. Mama then jokes with her husband about how he must want to enter but you have to be 18 or younger. Kouyo says that while he can't enter, he will definitely play those in it somewhere eventually. 

Back at Hikaru's house, Hikaru walks in as his mom hands him the phone with Waya on the other end. Waya asks if Hikaru's has seen the latest Weekly Go that announces the team members, Hikaru responds that he has and that Suyon is on the Korean team. He's excited though not sure if he'll get to play him. Waya is filling out a form and tells Hikaru that he's starting a league tournament with the members of the study group. Hikaru says that sounds fun and Waya mentions that he invited Ochi who agreed to come. And that Isumi invited Kadowaki. Hikaru yells that his goal is to go undefeated and Waya yells that he'll prevent that. As Waya writes Shindo and Waya below that on the paper, he wishes Hikaru good luck at the Hokuto cup and Hikaru says "yeah". The end.
